Joseph Poole Addley

Joseph Poole Addley was the first Head Master of the Derry School of Art.  In the latter half of his life, he lived mostly in Dublin. He works as a tutor to students of the Dublin Metropolitan School of Art.

Addley often takes outdoor sketching classes at Rathfarnham Castle during the summer holidays.  He also regularly accompanies the Dublin Sketching Club outings to Dub Laoghaire. Offering advice on the technical aspects of drawing and watercolour painting.

In the last years of his life, he moved to London where he taught the principles of perspective to students at the Slade School of Art.
