Norman Teeling

Teeling is a leading Irish Impressionist, he likes to paint en Plein air which means that he sets up his easel in the street and paints what he sees. Any artist that paints this way produces paintings that have more emphasis on the light and shadow of the scene. The Street Musicians in this painting are making music for the whole street to hear.

Born in Dublin, Ireland in 1944, Teeling attends the National College of Art and Design. His tutors included Maurice MacGonigal, Carey Clarke, and John Kelly. Norman Teeling earned a Degree in Art and his teaching credential from the National College of Art and Design.
